2020101 is a crash course in our collective experience of the monumental year 2020, told through 11 songs based on the most common themes that emerged from the extensive story research that Shannon did with her online community. In their responses to her research questions, well over a hundred people replied with their experiences of the year — from pandemic-related challenges of isolation, loss, and uncertainty, to racial awakening and election year activism, to discovering personal transformation through creative endeavors and intentional self-reflection.
